March 16, 2021 we ventured onward to Florida to where we ended up becoming residents. Let me back up to the trip that started it all. Early 2020 we got a phone call about going to Orlando FL 4 days 3 nights in this wonderful apartment type hotel that is right on the beach. The deal was so good that we said let’s do it! We went to Orlando for this time share opportunity in October 2020 ; we only did it because we had our minds made up that we were not going to become time share owners.

So important events transpired of which evoked I guess some would say impulse decisions. In April 2020 I got rid of my lease 2018 Dodge Charger GT Plus; one of the nicest vehicles I ever owned. I ended up getting a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel; this mattered because I always wanted a diesel pickup truck so I figured this was God’s way of meeting me halfway.

The new vehicle happened because we knew we wanted to travel and having the Charger lease and a Tahoe lease certainly limited our travel opportunities. Fast forward to September, my middle daughters birthday of which we went to Get Air. While jumping around, maybe my brain was shaken a bit too much but I suggested we go on a road trip.

My wife did not object because I found something that was free and educational; at this point we were homeschooling due to COVID-19; to be clear we were not remote learning. Off to Cleveland we went to the Museum of Art. That then turned into going to Kentucky to see the Creation Museum. This was only able to happen because we had the Jeep Diesel of which is great on gas mileage.

We had a great experience and some form of an epiphany if I may say; this trip was so much fun, educational and we kind of did not want to go back home. After this trip we are starting to talk about this time share vacation coming up in October. We realized that the Jeep was not big enough to accommodate the trip we are planning.

The plan was to make this a 2 week trip with multiple stops along the way and we would sleep in the Jeep at truck stops, Walmart or Cracker Barrels. We rapidly realized after the trip to Cleveland and Kentucky that we did not have enough room for luggage much less space to sleep. We are not financially capable to pay for hotels or get luggage racks installed of which would have given some space to sleep in Jeep. Mandie and I are both discharged from the military with medical conditions so though the jeep was a nice thought for sleeping we probably would have suffered quite a bit and then try to drive after that.

Matthew 20:29-34

Two Blind Men Receive Sight

29 As Jesus and his disciples were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed him. 30 Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!” 31 The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!” 32 Jesus stopped and called them. “What do you want me to do for you?” he asked. 33 “Lord,” they answered, “we want our sight.” 34 Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.

Now, if these men had such little faith in what they thought Jesus could do they would have shut their mouths and missed the blessing that was already ordained for them. The thing is all the people that Jesus helped through what people call miracles and wonders are far from it. Let me explain because some may say I’m contradicting myself as many of tried to say that the bible contradicts itself from Old to New Testament.

What is being said here is that if you know God through Jesus then all the things that Jesus did and does are just that. To those who do not fully grasp and have a relationship with Jesus then yes the things that Jesus does are miracles and wonders to those who do not have an intimate relationship. Do not get me wrong here, I am not trying to denounce how incredible Jesus is because there is no doubt that there is none like Jesus.

I want you to understand that to Jesus, He is just doing what he does and see Jesus for who He is. Allow God to lead you by knowing that Jesus dying on the cross was so that all of God’s people will be saved and forgiven their sins. All this is possible because God has Grace, because of Grace Jesus died for you. You believe that and watch how your life changes in the way the bible expresses. All you need is a little faith because the Grace has been given.

This guy I know once said ” You can have faith without grace but you cannot have grace without faith”. Meaning you can have faith in anything or anyone but to experience the grace that Jesus provides, you must have faith in believing that Jesus walked the earth and did all that was said he did, believe that Jesus died on the cross and rose in 3 days.
