Shalom
What I’ve been led to share with you is stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination.
Jesus abolished racism
Woman at the well the Samaritan woman.
John 4:9
Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.
All those who have any racism in them are an abomination to themselves. The true worshippers will be saved.
We all have one of these words embedded into our soul and it does not settle the well with God.
Though you may not be cognitively aware that it goes against what Jesus stands for.
I’ll put it to you like this; the stereotype that you believe, talk about and casually joke about is a sin.
Being prejudice is not just a racial thing; stereotyping in anyway then acting on it births prejudice.
Discrimination is when you follow through with the belief (stereotyping) while expressing the negative feeling (prejudice) outwardly.
I urge you to be mindful of your thoughts because they affect your feelings which ultimately dictates the way you treat others.
Jesus is his name!
Psalm 139:23-24
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties;
24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.
Seek my brothers and sisters so you can see; because of Jesus God will reveal but only through Jesus one can see by allowing the Holy Spirit to do what the Holy Spirit does. Seek to become Holy.
