How It All Began
Once upon a time…… No, seriously!
A little girl, the middle child to be specific; started to write her Dad's recipes down because he can go in the kitchen and make anything with whatever is available to him. On this particular day, the 4th of July weekend. Dad and his girls, the middle child and youngest; decided to make the seasoning for the 15 lbs. Brisket and the 2 Whole Spatchcock Chickens. What started out as just another one of Dad's "whipping it up" of things, which is what his wife (Mandie) calls it; very quickly turned into something magical. Once the seasoning was done and every household member tried it, fell in love with it, and decided this was one of Dad's best concoctions. Brohdny being who we all know him to be, kind of joked about making more and seeing if people would buy it. In less than 2 weeks, Dad's Island Flare All Purpose Seasoning has sold just shy of 40.
Year-to-date we have sold over 1,000 seasoning!
This blend can literally go on any type of food. With over 15+ different ingredients highlighting spices deriving from the island of Jamica style of cooking. Brohdny's family is the reason that he has this keen sense of walking into a kitchen and being able to make something out of nothing per say. As an adolescent and young adult Brohdny would watch his sister cook many traditional Jamaican dishes that she still cooks to this day. In Jamica, as a youth Brohdny would watch his grandmother, all his aunts and uncles cook.
