Spiritual Blindness

John‬ ‭9‬:‭35‬-‭41‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said to him, “Do you believe in the Son of God?” He answered and said, “Who is He, Lord, that I may believe in Him?” And Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you.” Then he said, “Lord, I believe!” And he worshiped Him. And Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.” Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him, “Are we blind also?” Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.”
‭‭
God does not want a piece of you, God wants all of you. See the Pharisees only gave God a piece which is a small piece while giving their flesh the majority.
Are you giving God your all today?
Do not worry about yesterday or tomorrow, I am talking about today. Whatever it is your are holding on to, it is time to let go by giving it to God. Do not be held captive anymore! Do not be deceived!
I was spiritually blind for many years in the church! Doing the right thing (though it was the wrong thing) for the right reason. I know now what “I once was blind but now I see” truly means. This revelation is going to be different for each person but the baseline is the same for everyone. The experience within the church was a blessing for the individuals that I encountered but INTRAPERSONALLY I was spiritually blind.
Outwardly, I had it all figured out but within myself there was work to be done that was being done but I was not actively cognizant of. I put myself in the right place so it was only a matter of time before I realized I wasn’t fully giving God my all.
God wants your thoughts too. God wants your emotions too. God wants your actions too. God wants your marriage too. God wants your relationships too. God wants your time too. Bring everything to God.
It would not be wise to bring things to God and not read the Bible. Reasoning being, the only effective way to hear from God is through his word where the Holy Spirit also works through you. Think of it this way, you talk to your spouse, friend, coworker, family member or who ever. When ever you talk to these individuals they never respond. How would you feel? How would your relationship grow? How would you get to know each other? It wouldn’t grow and you wouldn’t know each other at all. Same way with God when you only talk and not read the Bible.
